today is Monday, 19 February 2024, I'm learned about argumentative text and here is it.
 Theory :

  1. language function
  2. text structure
  3. language components/ features

1.Languages Function

The language function of an argumentative text is to persuade or influence the audience by presenting a clear and logical argument on a spesific issue or topic. Argumentative texts are designed to express a point of view, support it with evidence and convince the reader or listeners to adopt or agree with that perspective.

Example of Argumentative Text

1.Benefits of Regular Exercise
regular exercise offers numerous benefits for both physical and mental health. Engaging in physical activity not only improves cardiovascular health but also enhances mood and cognitive function.
Firstly, exercise is crucial for maintaining a healthy weight and reducing the risk of obesity-related diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. By burning calories and building muscle, regular physical activity helps individuals achieve and maintain a healthy body composition.
Secondly, exercise has been shown to improve mental well-being by reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Physical activity stimulates the production of endorphins, which are natural mood lifters, leading to feelings of happiness and relaxation.
Furthermore, regular exercise promotes better sleep quality, allowing individuals to feel more rested and alert during the day. Adequate sleep is essential for overall health and cognitive function, and exercise can play a significant role in improving sleep patterns. In conclusion, the benefits of regular exercise extend beyond physical health to include mental well-being and improved sleep quality. Incorporating exercise into daily routines can lead to a happier, healthier life.
2. Should College Education be Free? College education should be free for all students. Education is a basic right and the key to success and prosperity and making it accessible to be a better society.
Countries that provide free education in college have higher rates of college graduates and more educated workforce. Providing free college education for students will reduce the burden of student debt.
Opponents of free education in college argue that it would be too expensive for the government to provide. The benefits of a more educated population will outweigh the costs in the long run.
